Wi-Fi's
Free wireless Internet access, is available at the California Hotel near Kings Cross and Euston, London.
Guests can use the high-speed broadband Internet connection via the
hotel PC in the coffee bar, or their own laptop (with a wireless adapter).
Wireless broadband is a very easy way to connect to the Internet. The technology uses the same radio wavelength as cordless telephones to provide a fast (up to 11Mbs) network connection. All you have to do is fit a small Wireless adapter to your laptop and run a configuration program.
The wireless Internet system at the California Hotel is fully compliant with the Wi-Fi Alliance interoperability specifications.
The Wi-Fi Alliance is a nonprofit international association formed in 1999 to certify interoperability of wireless Local Area Network products based on IEEE 802.11 specification. Currently the Wi-Fi Alliance has 198 member companies from around the world, and 865 products have received Wi-FiŽ certification since certification began in March of 2000. The goal of the Wi-Fi Alliance's members is to enhance the user experience through product interoperability.
